The Hummingbird's Lesson

The hummingbird doesn't apologize for being small.

It doesn't compete with the eagle.

It doesn't wish it were another bird.

It simply becomes everything it was created to be.

There's freedom in that.

Purpose isn't about becoming someone else.

It's about faithfully becoming who God designed you to be.

Protect your energy.

Guard your focus.

Rest when you need to.

Then continue moving toward the purpose only you can fulfill.

Reflection Questions

  • Am I comparing my journey to someone else's instead of embracing my own?
  • What "nectar" is nourishing my spirit, and what is draining it?
  • How can I intentionally protect my focus this week?

"The hummingbird doesn't waste energy trying to become an eagle.

It simply fulfills the purpose God designed for a hummingbird." — Maia Treleaven
